New Schedule

Posted by on January 15, 2013

Selecting my classes for this term has been beyond frustrating.  Conflicts abounded and I could not get into a set of classes that I was happy with.  Things were finally sorted out in the middle of last week and I was pleased with my schedule (taking all of the original classes I intended to take).

Then Saturday night I got an email that flipped things around all over again.  I thought it was going to be a huge nightmare and all of my classes we going to change after going to them all last week and buying the textbooks.  But I managed to just change the section of the problem class and everything else could stay the same.  The professor is different, but thankfully the textbook is the same.

My new schedule is three very long, intense days of classes, and then nothing on Mondays or Fridays.  It wasn’t what I intended, but it seems that for the next four months I will have 4 day weekends!  (Ha!  Not really because I work on the weekends, plus that is when I will have to get all of my readings and assignments done.)

It means that (for this semester) I will spend Friday morning commuting from school to Hometown as well as Tuesday mornings.  A  million times better than my Sunday overnight bus trips for sure!  It will also mean that I can potentially add Monday as a third day of work, but that is unlikely to really increase my earnings as there isn’t usually much going on Mondays at Best Job Ever.  More likely is that I will have a nice quiet day to myself at home to get down to business with the schoolwork, which is what I did yesterday.

I have no idea what my schedule will look like next year, so I’m going to enjoy this nice schedule that works well with my life while it lasts!

Sounds like an ok schedule! Will give you some “extra” time for your reading, homework, etc… and hopefully not be so rushed!!

Well, hopefully you get use to it and it becomes second nature. Good luck this semester!

Oooh, I remember having a schedule like that, & I loved it. Always gave me time to squeeze in a workout as well. :-)
